In Great News: NBC Picked Up Multi-Camera Comedy Pilot Starring John Mulaney

One of our favorite comedians and the all around approachable looking nice guy John Mulaney is getting his own multi-camera show on NBC. The show is being developed with Lorne Michaels (who’s that guy?) and Mulaney already has the pilot written. The word on the street is that it will be loosely based on his life, which I’m all for because his life seems nice and funny, but also a little surprised it’s not framed in some sort of “Law & Order” premise. If you aren’t familiar with John, he’s a writer on SNL, co-created the Stefon character Bill Hader plays, and is really a fantastic stand up. Need proof? Last years New In Town was on pretty much everyone’s “Best Comedy Album” lists. Good news for a good guy, and for us good people.
