Maria Bamford’s ‘The Special Special Special’ Is SO Intimate & SO Wonderful

Back in November we told you how excited we were about Maria Bamford’s The Special Special Special where Maria would be performing stand up in the living room in front of her parents. The tagline is “Why perform in front of 200 strangers when you can do your best material for your parents in your childhood home?”

Lucky for us, since we aren’t Maria Bamford’s parents (but lucky for them), we have some exclusive videos from The Special Special Special courtesy of Official Comedy and Chill to share with you that will no doubt make you laugh out loud and fall in love with the “alt-comic genius” and one of our favorites, Maria Bamford.

Maria Of Course Says It SO Much Better:

Hello friends, critics and critical friends.

Welcome to the special special special comedy special.  It’s very good.

I love comedy. And who do I want to make laugh more than Marilyn and Joel Bamford, my parents?  So, we’ve cut out the middle man of 200 strangers in a tv studio and gone right to the source.

With some paid audiences, the feigned enthusiasm can be a little uncomfortable to watch, but I genuinely rock the house.  My parents only wish they could be there with you when you watch this with your parents.

Have a Skinny Cow immersed in Kahlua on their behalf and enjoy. I’m very proud of them.
