Pretty In Pink
We’re really excited about SO favorite Aaron Frisby and his new series Party Animals. I mean what are these baboons up to? Trouble, I think. Two I imagine with heavy French accents. One has the pure innocence of a child. Three rebellious boons’ (babs?) are playing records too loud and doing as they please. The same three (I think…) are later at the legs of lady who obviously frowns on this type of behavior and has possibly scolded them, but do the baboons look like they feel guilty? No. They look angry, scary. All of this is my own interpretation, and that’s what I love about Frisby’s work. It’s always aesthetically pleasing, but also super… enticing? It invites you in to a what-you-make-of-it world of weirdness, and you usually never want to leave.
