Aiden Morse is a photographer from Tasmania, Australia creating stellar images. From Aiden: “These works explore the notion of a photographic ‘moment’—not so much in the vein of Cartier-Bresson, as these images are entirely staged—but in the sense that a photographic image completely nullifies what came before or after the instant it was made. As such, the scenes depicted in my images hang in a transitory space that’s neither here nor there: they show what happened before or after, but never what did. Aesthetically, my pictures are inspired by the Spielberg films, Close Encounters and E.T., that I obsessed over as a child. I have taken it upon myself to recall their VHS-blurred moments and translate them into sharp and still photographs.” Check out some of our favorite shots below.
