Merry Frogs
12-year-old David Barth was born in Rotterdam in 1998. The moment he could hold a pen, he began drawing. David has Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism, giving him a unique perspective on the world. This is reflected in his drawings. He draws on a determined manner, suggesting that the drawing is ready in his head before he puts pen to paper. Moreover, he has an amazing eye for detail. David works with his mother, Inge Barth-Wagemaker, who writes the lyrics to David’s books and comics. She is a graduate and teacher working in a housing project for adults with autism. Really, just SO great.
