Best Of lists when it comes to music is a bit silly to me, because what one publication or source might say is the best, that “best” might not go down so smoothly with another persons taste. Writing paragraphs about the album and song and producers and where they recorded it and what they were wearing and all the “you did your research good” kind of details really means nothing to me. What it comes down to is do I like the song, will I add it to my playlist, and does it make me feel something. So we’ve simplified it for you. Below are the 30 songs that we consider to be the best of the year. If you think we left any songs that should TOTALLY be included, let us know, if you disagree, let us know, or if you just want to say “cool list!” that is fine as well.
