“I did not go to a special photography school – visual art always seemed to be my natural way to express my emotions and thoughts. When I was 16, I started drawing and illustrating books and short novels. Then, several years ago, something in me apparently decided it was time to switch – that was the time when I bought myself my camera and started experimenting with photography.” -Elizaveta Porodina

“I guess, my skills as a photographer develop as I think about photography 24/7, always searching for a new perspective and experimenting with new ways to take pictures systematically.” -EP

“I am a person who loves looking at beautiful things, so the thing I love about this job the most is the opportunity to work with beautiful people who wear beautiful things in a beautiful, interesting place. Taking pictures in such situations and looking at them afterwards creates a certain harmony, a homeostasis in my soul.” -EP

“Without the work of several artists which I adore I would be much more limited in my ways of thinking and creating. I collect most of these inspirations in the movie- genre and literature. Several of my most adored directors and films should not stay unmentioned: David Cronenberg, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Ridley Scott, FF Coppola. A book by Truman Capote and Michel Hoellebecq (zz: map and area) always provides me with new ideas and inspirations. Also, some photographers from the fashion industry are very inspiring to me: William Eggleston, Polaroid collections of Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, and Mert & Marcus.” -EP
